Holistic Program of Study that Focuses on Educating the Whole Student.
IB programs are designed to educate the whole student. This is achieved by incorporating program core components that aim to strengthen and extend students' personal and interpersonal learning as well as research skills required to be successful at four year universities. This is one of the components of the programs that sets us apart from Advanced Placement (AP) courses and programs.
A Comparison of the AP and the IB Programs
The AP and IB Programs are both successful and highly respected by major colleges and universities throughout the nation. Each program is designed to enrich the high school experience an offer students an excellent opportunity to prepare for advanced study and potentially earn college credit.
Our IB students don't know the results of their exams until July, so every December during Winter Break, we celebrate that year's graduating class with an IB Graduation Ceremony at Wooster. Here you will find slide shows of the most recent graduations.
